Bristol Vintage Photograph Fair

This is a new event; offering for the first time in the West of England, an opportunity for collectors of early photography to meet the leading specialist vintage photograph dealers in the UK, and find fine and rare original photographs documenting the first 150 years of photography.

Portraits, social documentary, architectural studies, travel and landscape, from Britain, Europe, and around the world.

Daguerreotypes & Ambrotypes,

Calotypes, (Salt Prints)

Albumen and Gelatine prints,

Lantern slides,

Cartes-de-visite & Cabinet print portraiture,

Stereographs, Photographic Postcards etc.

New, Secondhand, and Antiquarian Books on Photography & the History of Photography.

Photographs offered for sale will be original vintage prints & images (no modern copies, facsimiles or reproductions allowed!).

Prices run from a few pounds upwards, together with far more expensive fine examples of some of the rarest and most valuable prints, produced by some of the greatest names in 19th and early 20th century photography.

Important Note:

Admission tickets for the Bristol Vintage Photograph Fair, (whether purchased or complimentary), will not also give admission to the Royal Photographic Society's own exhibition, which will be on concurrent display in the 1st floor Gallery space.

Admission to this exhibition will require purchase of a separate ticket from the RPS. This exhibition ticket however, will also grant free admission to the Photograph Fair.

The fair is organised by

Hugh Ashley Rayner, F.R.G.S, F.R.A.S.

Based in Bath, Hugh Rayner is a professional photographer, photographic historian, writer & publisher, and a long established photograph collector & dealer in vintage Photographs: specialising primarily in fine early photography from India & South Asia.
